| September 22, 2008 Elmira Brick Pond Watercross Going into Elmira this past weekend, the top 3 in EWA Semi-Pro (600 & 800) were all held by a Team Highside rider. Coming off consistent top 5 (at least) finishes at Darien Lake and Norwood, team rider Matt Schebaum #23 was in 3rd overall, Tim Doi #56 in 2nd, and Luke Janiszewski #556 leading the Semi-Pro points. August 20, 2008 Norwood Watercross The weekend of August 30-31, the Camoplast Eastern Watercross Tour makes a stop in Norwood, NY as part of the 19th Annual Norwood Lake Regatta. Check out the flyer for more info August 11, 2008 NYS Watercross Championships The NYSWRA wrapped up its season at Flat Rock Inn in Lowville, NY the weekend of August 9-10. The weather held off for the entire weekend of racing as Team Highside riders Matt Schebaum #23, Luke Janiszewski #556, and Tim Doi #56 put up some great results. Matt Schebaum #23 -- 2nd place (700 Semi-Pro Ovals) Tim Doi #56 -- 3rd place (600 Pro Ovals) Luke Janiszewski -- 4th palce (600 Pro Ovals) Check back soon for the official season overall standings July 21.2008 Moonlight Riders Pond Hop, Hamilton, NY Sunday July, 27 Team Highside Racing and Highside Films will be in Hamilton, NY at Albees Pond for the annual Moonlight Riders Pond Hop, a watercross fun day that benefits the local snowmobile club. This event will feature a number of semi-pro and pro drivers putting on a show as well as the casual water skipper dusting off their winter sled to see if they can make it across. July 8, 2008 NYSWRA Smoke on The Water This weekend, July 10-11, Team Highside descends upon Flat Rock pond for the 2nd event in the New York State Watercross circuit. With hot temperatures leading up to the race, its only going to get hotter as some of the best competition in the East heats up the water. Be sure to stop by the Highside Films vendor booth to grab your copy of the latest watercross DVD, H2OX II, and look for our riders to be there after the days races for some meet and greet and autographs. July 8, 2008 Darien Lake EWA Season Opener On the 28th of June, Darien Lake was the site of the 2008 EWA Season Opener of Watercross. With The Predator, one of the oldest wooden rollercoasters in the Northeast, as a backdrop, visitors to Darien Lake's Extreme Sports Days witnessed an exciting day of racing. With a 'pin to pin' close course layout, the water got choppy and the action was high. Here are a few highlight results from Team Highside... Tim Doi #56 -- 1st place (600cc, 800cc semi-pro ovals) Luke Janiszewski #556 -- 2nd place (600cc), 4th place (800cc) Matt Schebaum #23 -- 4th place (600cc), 6th place (800cc) June 9, 2008 Highside FIlms announces release of H2OX II On June 14th, the date of the first watercross race of the 2008 season at Flat Rock Inn, Lowville, NY, Highside FIlms will be releasing its latest full-lenth DVD, H2OX II. H2OX II is the second full-length DVD from Highside Films featuring the best snowmobile watercross action in the country. Be sure to see us at the races June 14th and 15th at Flat Rock to be one of the first to get your copy. May 21, 2008 Team Highside Racing prepares for 2008 Watercross season Luke Janiszewski #556 and Tim Doi #56 are getting ready to ride with the big dogs as they are competing in the Pro Ovals class this year on their tried and true Ski Doo ZX 600 Mods. Jamie Brown #322 and Matt Schebaum #23 will be representing Team Highside in Semi-Pro Ovals both on Ski Doo REV 600 Mods. The Team will be testing and practicing this weekend for the first time this season and then it's on to the Spring Classic at Flat Rock and the EWA Season Opener at Darien Lake. February 22, 2008 Invasion Tour on Tug Hill This weekend, Sat. the 23rd, the Monster Energy / Slednecks Invasion Tour will be in Osceola, NY on Tug Hill. You cant bet that it will be an awesome show as there is a great lineup of riders throwing freestyle tricks and Monster Energy always hooks everyone up. Highside Films will be there, on sleds, for the day checking out all the action, doing a little filming, and just enjoying what looks like it will be a massive snowmobile gathering. Well the transition from riding on water in the summer to riding on snow has gone well and we're gearing up for a great winter season. A lot of places in the Northeast have seen snow lately and a good amount too ( 1 -2 ft. ). That should make for some good early riding to get the edge off and make for a nice base as long as it stays cold... October 11, 2007 NH Grassdrags & Watercross Team Highside and HIGHSIDE FILMS were in Fremont, NH last weekend for the final EWA watercross race. This event is always a great finale to the season with all the motorsports craziness going on all weekend. 12,000 people in attendance on Saturday... A few results -- Tim Doi #56 got a 3rd in the 800 semi-pro on Sat. and a 1st in the 600 semi-pro on Sun. Also, congrats to Ricky Arbor for winning the 2007 Camoplast Challenge race, a two heat race ( 1 to the left, 1 to the right, both 8 laps )...making for some great watercross action.
